Assistant Relationship Manager | Regional Southwest, Vic
Propel your agribusiness banking career with this hands-on development opportunity based in the South West region of Victoria as an Assistant Relationship Manager.
In this role, you’ll assist in managing a diverse portfolio of clients, providing specialised analytical banking services to agribusiness and commercial customers. It’s an ideal opportunity for an analyst or aspiring accounting professional keen to gain exposure to complex client structures while building relationship management skills.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, delivering exceptional service and tailored solutions.
• Gain practical experience with the support of mentors, with a clear pathway to progressing into a Relationship Management role.
• Contribute to the growth and success of an established customer portfolio.
YOU | You will be enthusiastic about engaging with clients and eager to expand your knowledge in the banking industry. As the ideal candidate, you’ll have experience in Complex Retail, Commercial Banking, or Accounting, along with a background in credit and cash flow analysis. A strong connection to agriculture and a passion for the industry is highly desirable. You’ll also bring:
• A positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Effective relationship management capabilities.
• Previous exposure to commercial segments within financial services (desirable).
• A qualification in accounting, finance, or business (desirable).
• Experience in financial analysis, credit assessment, or lending structuring.
THE ROLE | You’ll have the opportunity to showcase your abilities and gain an in-depth understanding of the industry and its services. This role will allow you to engage with a portfolio of clients while developing your relationship management skills. Key responsibilities include:
• Researching and preparing credit submissions, deal structuring, and financial analysis.
• Identifying risks associated with new and existing clients.
• Providing solutions and support to a portfolio of clients.
• Collaborating with a range of stakeholders across the business.
• Assisting in meeting revenue and compliance targets.
