Accounts Receivable Officer (ASO2) | Port Adelaide, SA
Our large Government client based in Port Adelaide is looking for an Accounts Receivable professional for an immediate start to work on a short term assignment, this is a busy and varied role.
YOU | Bring your experience in Call Centre Environments, Accounts Receivable or Payable, and strong Office Suite, including Word and Excel. You will also bring:
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to learn/adapt quickly.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage high volumes of work and work under pressure.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Debt management Notice running, RTS, ADHOC Debt Recovery duties.
THE ROLE | The Accounts Receivable (AR) Officer is accountable to the Operational Team Leader, Accounts Receivable, Financial Services. The AR Officer liaises with appropriate staff, SA government agencies, suppliers to government and members of the public. As well as:
• Contribute to the preparation and timely processing of accounts by undertaking manual and system processing of claims and payments of goods and services received, creation of invoices, receipting of revenue, investigating and taking corrective action on any discrepancies and ensuring that all relevant data is correctly entered into the system.
• Check invoice/adjustment requests for completeness, generate invoices/adjustment notes accurately, match and process receipts, prepare banks deposits, reports, batches and other accounts Receivable processes as required.
• Be required to work effectively as an individual and a member of the team to meet deadlines, identify and deal with problems.
• Be required to work towards daily targets and actively contribute to achieve team goals.
• Provide a timely and accurate front-line service including answering queries and providing advice, while demonstrating respect, consistency and courtesy.
