Risk and Compliance Officer ASO6 | Port Adelaide, SA

Our South Australian Government client is seeking a Risk and Compliance Officer to join a collaborative and fast-paced team environment for a short-term assignment. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your analytical and compliance skills within a large and supportive government agency.

YOU | You bring a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to hit the ground running. You are confident with data analysis, compliance assessments, and reporting, and are comfortable working independently to tight deadlines. You will also bring:

• A sold understanding of risk management, compliance frameworks and business continuity
• Ability to analyse operational processes, identify risks and translate finding into clear, actionable advice
• Experience preparing reports, risk registers and compliance documentation.
• Experience in government, financial services or similarly complex environments
• Confident engaging with stakeholders and providing training or guidance as needed
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Sharp numerical reasoning skills and research/data collection skills

THE ROLE | The Risk and Compliance Officer will work under the direction of the Process Management Team Manager. This role is responsible for reviewing user access processes, identifying compliance gaps, and recommending structured improvements. Key responsibilities include:

• Review and assess current user access reviews and processes.
• Develop a structured addressing gaps of areas of non-compliance in their findings.
• Prepare supporting documentation recommendation and progress updates to ensure transparency and accountability in implementing corrective measures.
• Collaborate with their team towards daily targets and actively contribute to achieve shared goals.
