Service Desk Team Leader | Adelaide CBD, SA

Our government client is currently seeking an experienced Service Desk Team Leader to guide a dynamic team of IT support professionals for a 12-month contract.

YOU | Bring your strong leadership skills and experience in Service Desk and ICT support and customer service to this exciting opportunity within a fast-paced government environment. Your positive attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to resolve issues efficiently will ensure your success in this role. You will also bring:

• Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead, monitor and develop high performing teams.
• Proven ability to provide high-quality customer service in a Service Desk or ICT environment
• Experience working with a wide range of desktop applications, support tools and knowledge systems
• Ability to work to strict deadlines, prioritise tasks, and maintain high accuracy under pressure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

THE ROLE | As a Service Desk Team Leader, you will report to the Service Desk Manager and play a key role kin the day-to-day operations of the Service Desk. You will lead a team of Service Desk Officers and Senior Officers, ensuring timely incident and request resolution, excellent user support and compliance with service level agreements. Your leadership will be critical in maintaining high service standards, mentoring team members and fostering a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and support the service desk team in delivering exceptional ICT support across SA Health.
• Manage incoming service requests and incidents, ensuring prompt resolution and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee complex or escalated issues and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for resolution.
• Monitor team performance against KPIs, and provide coaching, feedback, and training as required.
• Contribute to service improvement initiatives and the integration of new tools or processes
