SharePoint Application Developer

We are currently seeking an experienced SharePoint Specialist to support and migrate key SharePoint applications from on-premises environments to SharePoint Online for a contract based in Adelaide.

YOU | Bring your deep technical expertise in SharePoint architecture, workflows, and migration to this pivotal role within a forward-thinking government agency. Your ability to troubleshoot complex on-prem SharePoint issues, modernise legacy applications, and deliver seamless transitions to SharePoint Online will be critical to the success of this program.
You will also bring:
• Strong understanding of SharePoint 2016 architecture, configuration, and deployment
• Proven experience supporting and resolving complex SharePoint On-Prem issues, including those related to custom applications and workflows
• Demonstrated experience working with SharePoint 2010, 2013 Workflows, and Power Automate
• Proven capability in migrating custom on-prem SharePoint 2016 applications to SharePoint Online, with case studies or references available
• Proficiency with tools such as ShareGate, Visual Studio, SharePoint Designer, and Power Platform technologies
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a focus on performance, stability, and user experience
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Desirable:
• Experience integrating SharePoint with Power BI and other Microsoft 365 services
• Familiarity with governance, permissions management, and security best practices within Microsoft 365
• Experience working within Agile or hybrid project environments

THE ROLE | As a SharePoint Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting existing SharePoint 2016 environments while leading the migration of critical business applications to SharePoint Online. Reporting to the Project Manager and Technical Lead, you will ensure that the migration process is seamless, secure, and aligned with organisational goals.
Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting and maintaining SharePoint On-Prem (2016) environments and resolving technical issues
• Assessing and remediating existing SharePoint 2010/2013 workflows for migration or replacement with Power Automate
• Planning, executing, and validating migration activities from SharePoint On-Prem to SharePoint Online
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure post-migration functionality meets business needs
• Developing migration strategies, documentation, and technical specifications
• Conducting system testing, troubleshooting, and validation post-migration
• Providing expert advice on SharePoint Online configuration, governance, and best practices
