Account Manager (Major Development Services)
Join a leading Government-owned utility in the Adelaide CBD as an Account Manager – Major Development Services for a full-time, 6-month opportunity, supporting the delivery of major land development projects across South Australia.
YOU | Bring your experience in account management, project management and stakeholder engagement to guide major land development projects from concept through to approval. You will play a pivotal role in managing key developer relationships, shaping solutions, and ensuring high-quality infrastructure outcomes. You will also bring:
• A degree qualification in Business, Commercial, Engineering or significant industry experience in project and/or account management.
• Extensive experience in commercial and contract management for major infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of water and wastewater design and construction principles, or the ability to resolve complex technical issues in a comparable industry.
• Demonstrated project management capability, including tracking milestones, coordinating multiple work fronts and meeting timeframes with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to identify process inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across the development industry.
• A proactive, adaptable approach and strong problem-solving capability.
• A current Driver’s Licence and White Card (Induction to Construction Work).
THE ROLE | Join a collaborative, solutions-focused team responsible for supporting the delivery of major land development across the state.
You will:
• Maintain strong long-term relationships with major land developers to ensure a positive customer experience and high satisfaction levels.
• Coordinate and facilitate the end-to-end development approval process, ensuring alignment with organisational standards, policies and strategic objectives.
• Lead negotiations on complex major land development contracts in partnership with the Commercial Manager, contributing to commercial strategy and revenue generation.
• Identify and champion process improvements, working closely with internal teams—including Growth Central—to respond to evolving developer and government requirements.
• Provide expert advice to developers, consultants and local government authorities, resolving issues and supporting the delivery of high-quality infrastructure outcomes.
• Monitor, guide and contribute to the performance and development of team members as required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery and strengthen the organisation’s reputation as a collaborative and solutions-oriented partner in the land development sector.
