Payroll Officer

Are you an experienced Payroll Officer with a strong background in end-to-end payroll processing and compliance? We are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to support a high-performing People & Safety team within a well-regarded organisation.

YOU | We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in delivering accurate, timely payroll services while maintaining a strong customer focus. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are confident managing complex payroll processes and enquiries.

- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing across fortnightly and monthly cycles
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation including superannuation, payroll tax, FBT, and workers compensation
- Experience using Chris21 or similar payroll systems, with solid MS Office skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong customer service mindset
- Ability to interpret awards, Enterprise Agreements, and HR policies
- High attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and implement solutions

THE ROLE | In this role, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and compliant payroll services across a large workforce. This includes processing payroll cycles, managing timesheet and leave reconciliations, handling new starters and terminations, and responding to payroll enquiries through an online system. You will also support reporting requirements, contribute to end-of-month and end-of-year processes, and ensure all payroll activities align with legislative and organisational requirements. Additionally, you will play a key role in identifying process improvements and supporting a high-performing team culture.
