Guardian Liaison Officer ASO3
Are you an experienced administration or case management professional with a background in working with vulnerable clients and complex stakeholder environments? We are seeking a capable Guardian Liaison Officer to support the Office of the Public Advocate within a dynamic and purpose-driven team.
YOU | A highly organised and resilient professional who can manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with strict timeframes. Brings strong communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to work sensitively with vulnerable individuals, families, and a broad range of stakeholders. Demonstrates a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and attention to detail, with experience maintaining accurate records and supporting compliance within legislative frameworks.
Experience working with vulnerable people, families, and service providers in complex or sensitive environments
Strong administrative and case management skills, including report writing and record keeping
Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies and procedures
Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution capability
High level written and verbal communication skills, tailored to diverse audiences
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines
Experience working within a regulatory or public sector environment (desirable)
THE ROLE | This role is responsible for providing administrative and case management support to Guardianship teams, acting as a key liaison between the Office of the Public Advocate and SACAT. Responsibilities include coordinating and maintaining accurate case files, preparing reports and documentation, and supporting decision-making processes in line with the Guardianship and Administration Act. The role involves engaging with clients, families, medical professionals and service providers to obtain information, explain processes, and support outcomes for individuals with impaired decision-making capacity. You will also contribute to the efficient operation of the office through administrative coordination, stakeholder communication, and participation in team and organisational initiatives.
