Are you looking for a Service Desk Officer opportunity within a dynamic and supportive team? Our government client is currently seeking experienced Service Desk Officers to join a Digital Health SA service desk supporting key SA Health business units.
YOU | Bring your experience in ICT support and customer service to this fast-paced government environment. Your ability to deliver high-quality support, manage incidents effectively, and communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders will ensure success in this role. You will also bring:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving ability through investigation, research, and consultation
Proven experience delivering high-quality customer service in an ICT service desk environment
Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure
Experience working with call management, support tools, and knowledge management systems
Ability to document procedures and maintain accurate records
High level of discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
Sound knowledge of standard desktop applications and systems
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute to shared outcomes
THE ROLE | As a Service Desk Officer, you will be responsible for delivering customer-focused ICT support within Digital Health SA. This includes managing incoming calls and emails, resolving incidents and service requests, and ensuring users are kept informed throughout the process. You will aim for high first-call resolution, escalate issues where required, and maintain ownership of requests through to completion. The role also involves accurate documentation, supporting user administration tasks, meeting KPI targets, and contributing to continuous service improvement initiatives aligned with SA Health’s strategic objectives.
